About Timothy Griffin
Tim grew up in Lynchburg, VA in a family of six, with his three brothers. He attended Sandusky Middle School and Lynchburg Christian Academy. Upon graduating, Tim attended Liberty University and received a B.A. in Government from Liberty University’s Helms School of Government. At the Appalachian School of Law, Tim served as a Moot Court competitor and Law Review Editor. He spent his summers interning for the Honorable Justice Cynthia Kinser of the Virginia Supreme Court, followed by the Honorable James Turk of the U.S. District Court for the Western District. It was during this time that he met and married his wife, Angelica. Tim graduated and was sworn as a member of the Virginia State Bar. He served in the criminal law field for two years prior to becoming a prosecutor.
In 2014, Tim was appointed to serve as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Amherst County, Virginia. At the end of 2015, Tim was appointed to serve under the Bedford Commonwealth’s Attorney, where he continues to serve as a prosecutor under the Honorable Wes Nance. Tim lives in Lynchburg with his wife, Angelica and their two daughters.
